Book Review – The Woman Who Saw the Future by Amit Sharma
What if you could dream and see the future? Dream terrible events and not the good ones. I am sure your life will be hell.
I am sure people with such gifts have a life full of surprises and fear.
Sapna Vaid is one such girl who discovers her ability to dream death events in the world and also some related to people who are close to her.
Amit has done a fantastic job of describing the turmoil she goes through. These dreams take her peace of mind away.
She has bold parents, a strong brother Vikrant and her boyfriend Sahil on her side. Kalpana her mother has been portrayed as a strong woman who does not hesitate to stand against crime and wrong practices. Prakash her father, who is even though calm and not aggressive yet has a strong personality and stands by every situation they face in their life.
Vikrant and Sapna share a special bond as siblings. The loss of her brother takes a toll on her that makes it quite worse to handle these premonitions.
They all help her battle this out. There is no pattern in her dreams, although she dreams every day and sees hundreds of people die in months.
Initially, she is quite skeptical of her gift, but with time she learns to make peace with it. There comes a time in her life where she has to decide if this gift is indeed a gift or is it a curse?
As I kept turning each page of this book the story got exciting and was gripping. There are many quotes in the book that blows your mind away.
If given a choice would you like to see the future?
